DSDTS-40 Telescopic Slide – DUPLEX Marine Grade Stainless Steel
The DSDTS-40 telescopic slide is engineered from DUPLEX marine grade stainless steel 1.4462 (EN 10088-3, EN 10088-5)—the first material of its kind introduced in the professional range of telescopic slides worldwide equipped with special Ceramic ball bearings. This premium alloy provides corrosion resistance equal to stainless steel 316L, while its austenitic-ferritic microstructure delivers exceptional toughness, even at cryogenic temperatures. Unlike 316L, however, DUPLEX is magnetic, offering unique advantages for specialized applications.
As standard, the beams are precision polished to a bright finish on all surfaces, ensuring both durability and an enhanced professional appearance.
Application Suitability
The DSDTS-40 is specifically designed for highly corrosive environments with prolonged exposure to the elements. Its compact 42 mm profile makes it a preferred choice for:
- Heavy-duty marine seating
- Military and emergency vehicle drawers operating in wet or extreme conditions
- Industrial equipment exposed to harsh or saline environments
This slide represents an extreme load/duty full-extension solution with a load-bearing capacity of 40–350 kg per pair. At 550 mm, one pair achieves a full-extension capacity of 350 kg.
Construction & Performance
- Beams: Milled stainless steel sections with machined ball tracks for precision and accuracy.
- Ball bearings: Austenitic stainless steel 316L for smooth operation and long life.
- End stop bolts: Grade 304 stainless steel.
- Cages: Ferritic stainless steel 430, ensuring total corrosion resistance.
- Weight: A single DSDTS-40 weighs 6.7 kg per meter.
The result is a slide with exceptional resistance to shock and vibration, capable of withstanding dynamic stresses and harsh handling. It remains robust under load even in the fully extended position, outperforming many conventional slides manufactured from rolled ‘C’ sections.
Furthermore, the over-extension capability of up to 120% makes it well-suited for supporting portable pumps, food-grade machine guards, and other demanding applications.
Importantly, the range is produced with zero plastic components, making it fully compatible with high-temperature use.
Vertical Load-Boosting Configuration
For applications demanding greater strength and capacity, the DSDTS-40 can also be supplied in a vertical configuration:
- Mounted on a specially designed steel frame.
- Multiple slides are installed one above the other.
- This arrangement triples the load capacity, achieving up to 1,050 kg.
This innovative solution not only increases strength but also provides a compact and space-efficient design, making it highly attractive for sectors requiring maximum performance in minimal space.
✅ Summary: The DSDTS-40 combines state-of-the-art materials, precision engineering, and innovative design to set a new benchmark for heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant telescopic slides in marine, military, and industrial applications.
